Wet Pan Mill
Wet Pan Mill (Gold Grinding Mill)
A mill that crushes ore by rolling heavy wheels around a circular pan, also known as a gold grinding mill. It runs as a water slurry, grinding and mixing in one step, and is the most common grinding machine in small gold recovery plants. Simple, low capital cost and easy to operate, covering anything from kilograms to tonnes per day.
- Rolling wheels plus pan friction grind efficiently in a single pass
- Water slurry operation — grinding and mixing happen together
- Simple structure, few wear parts, easy to maintain in the field
Key features
- Rolling wheels plus pan friction grind efficiently in a single pass
- Water slurry operation — grinding and mixing happen together
- Simple structure, few wear parts, easy to maintain in the field
- Low capital cost and small footprint, suited to small plants and mobile operations
- 0.5–7 t/h covering the range small gold operations actually use
- Optional scraper keeps the material bed at a constant thickness for a more even discharge

Selection note:Parameters above are standard industry figures. Throughput varies considerably with ore hardness, feed size and target fineness, so the table gives typical ranges. For small gold operations we recommend a bench test first; final figures are confirmed in the contract.
